SCOTT IRVING was born in Los Angeles in 1957. By the time he graduated from high school, he had lived in seven states and had been exposed to many different styles of architecture and construction. He also developed a deep appreciation for different ethnic groups and culture. Scott has a passion to understand the connection between people, their culture and the environment. Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design in June of 1980 at the School of Architecture and Environmental Design at California polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. From there Scott worked as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry while operating his design business in Los Angeles. Relocating to Santa Fe, he took a job as a project architect for the Robert Woods firm in 1988. Scott acquired his general contractor’s license in early 1990 and created a design/build firm that he operated as a sole proprietor. In 2003 Scott entered a partnership with Anselmo Mariscal and Jennifer St. Claire to create Wisdom Design Build. They have been designing and constructing homes together ever since, and look forward to an exciting future together.
ANSELMO (CHEMIN) MARISCAL was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, where his family has owned property for three generations. He moved to Santa Fe when he was five years old and graduated from Capital High School. He attended ITT Tech in Albuquerque and earned an Associates Degree of Applied Science for Architectural Design and Computer Aided Drafting. Married with three children, Chemin still has a large extended family in Mexico and he works closely with them to import the stone tile and fireplaces for the houses that Wisdom Builds. He is an expert CAD designer and also supervises our job sites with a particular skill that comes from his background and his ability to speak three languages. His cultural connections shine throughout the process of design and the building of our homes.
SYLVIA MARISCAL, our office manager, calls Santa Fe home but she was originally born in Chihuahua, Mexico. She moved here when she was four years old, along with her brother Chemin and their family. Sylvia also graduated from Capital High School and is a licensed realtor. In her role at Wisdom, Sylvia helps guide clients through the process of buying a piece of land and building a custom home or choosing a home that is already built. She is bilingual and a great coordinator of the many steps involved in home construction. Her training enables her to assist Wisdom’s clients in all aspects of a successful real estate transaction.
